Ground rules for the figures
What the implant estimator works out: 12 jobs
- Dental implant cost calculator tap the missing teeth on the chart and see the price for exactly those teeth, not one national average.
- Cost by state US prices scaled to your state with the 2024 Synchrony state table.
- Extraction and bone graft cost add the extras a quote often leaves out: pulling the tooth, a bone graft or a sinus lift.
- Check your quote type the price a dentist quoted and see where it falls against the survey's specialist, overall and dearest-city medians for your state.
- Monthly payments drag the slider to spread the bill over 6 to 60 months and see the monthly amount.
- What a dental plan pays enter the plan's maximum, deductible and share, for one plan year on the estimator or split across two on the insurance page.
- Implants abroad, in your currency pick where you live (17 countries) and where you'd travel; the clinic price at the destination appears in your money, then the full total once flights and hotel are in, with days off and a repair reserve.
- State price map tap any state on the map, or the buttons for the small ones, to see its implant price.
- Implant, bridge or partial over 20 years one missing tooth: which option costs least over time, with failure rates from published studies.
- Full-mouth and All-on-4 over 20 years a whole jaw: fixed bridge against snap-in and plain dentures, per arch or both, with your own upkeep assumption.
- HSA, FSA and tax savings how much paying from a health account or deducting the bill can save, checked against the 2026 or 2027 limits.
- Veneers cost price porcelain or composite veneers for the number of teeth you want, from the 2023 survey, adjusted to your state.
A planning number is not a diagnosis
Whether you need an implant, a bridge, a denture or nothing at all is decided by an examination, imaging and your health history. The pages explain prices and coverage rules in general. Ask a dentist, and ask another one if a plan worries you.
How close the figures land
US prices start from survey medians and averages, scaled to your state where the survey allows. A real quote can come in well above or below them, because fees vary between practices on the same street and between specialists and general dentists. Insurance and HSA results only reflect what you type; your plan's own summary of benefits and its written pre-treatment estimate are what count.
Price information, nothing more. The estimator is not a dental practice, an insurer, a discount plan or a lender, and none of them, nor the ADA, FDA, CMS or IRS, has any say in it. It does not diagnose, recommend a treatment, refer anyone or arrange credit.
Medians and averages, not a quote. Each estimate combines published survey figures with a simple adjustment for your state. Your bone, gums, bite, health history and the materials a practice uses are beyond its reach; only a written plan from a dentist who has examined you gives your price.
Long-term lines rest on stated assumptions. Failure and replacement rates come from systematic reviews of large patient groups and cannot forecast one mouth. Where no published rate exists, the assumption is printed and you can change it.
The chart is yours. Marked teeth and saved plans sit in this browser's storage, each one named on the privacy page; clearing your browsing data erases them.

Names of products and treatments
They appear only so that you can tell what is meant. "All-on-4" is a registered trademark of its owner, named here because it is the term people search for; no endorsement either way.
