Who makes the estimator, and with what
What the implant estimator works out: 12 jobs
- Dental implant cost calculator tap the missing teeth on the chart and see the price for exactly those teeth, not one national average.
- Cost by state US prices scaled to your state with the 2024 Synchrony state table.
- Extraction and bone graft cost add the extras a quote often leaves out: pulling the tooth, a bone graft or a sinus lift.
- Check your quote type the price a dentist quoted and see where it falls against the survey's specialist, overall and dearest-city medians for your state.
- Monthly payments drag the slider to spread the bill over 6 to 60 months and see the monthly amount.
- What a dental plan pays enter the plan's maximum, deductible and share, for one plan year on the estimator or split across two on the insurance page.
- Implants abroad, in your currency pick where you live (17 countries) and where you'd travel; the clinic price at the destination appears in your money, then the full total once flights and hotel are in, with days off and a repair reserve.
- State price map tap any state on the map, or the buttons for the small ones, to see its implant price.
- Implant, bridge or partial over 20 years one missing tooth: which option costs least over time, with failure rates from published studies.
- Full-mouth and All-on-4 over 20 years a whole jaw: fixed bridge against snap-in and plain dentures, per arch or both, with your own upkeep assumption.
- HSA, FSA and tax savings how much paying from a health account or deducting the bill can save, checked against the 2026 or 2027 limits.
- Veneers cost price porcelain or composite veneers for the number of teeth you want, from the 2023 survey, adjusted to your state.
A price check before the first appointment
Dental offices rarely publish what an implant costs, and a quote often lands as one large number with the scan, the extraction or the graft tucked into a footnote. The estimator was built so that someone missing one tooth, a row of them or a whole jaw can see a defensible figure first, together with the plan rules, the tax angle and the cost of a bridge or a denture over the years, and then walk into a consultation with sharper questions.
Written by software, said plainly
dentalimplantcostestimator.com is written, and updated whenever one of its sources changes, by an AI model drawing only on published price surveys, FDA, ADA, CDC, CMS and IRS pages, official health and insurance pages from countries outside the US, the price lists clinics publish on their own sites, consumer surveys and peer-reviewed studies. Every sentence on these pages comes from that model. Readers deserve to know whether a person or a program is addressing them, and the EU's AI Act (2024/1689) turns that disclosure into a duty in its Article 50 for machine-written public text. At present no person reads the pages before they go out or after. The figures are a different matter: each is copied from the publication named beside it and compared with it again on the date shown. The calculators contain no AI at all; they are plain formulas that run in your browser and are rerun against worked cases after each change. The full checking routine sits on the sources page.
Ties, money and limits
The site belongs to no clinic, dental school, insurer, discount card or lender and takes instructions from none of them; nor is it linked with the ADA, the FDA, CMS or the IRS, even though their pages are quoted. Right now it has no income of any sort: no adverts, sponsors, commissions or paid referrals. If money ever starts coming in, its source and the spot where it appears get named here before anything else changes. Nobody here examines mouths, chooses dentists or implant brands, takes bookings or forwards anyone's details. The person who can tell you what your mouth needs is a dentist who has looked at it and at your scans.
